Rev Dr Andre Groenwald has pledged to take part in a Zumbathon in aid of the East Calder Cemetery Restoration Fund - but only if the hall is full.
"This is a great community," said the minister, from Kirknewton and East Calder Parish Church of Scotland, "so I am challenging them to give their full support to this worthy cause.
"And I promise that if the hall is full, I will dance - although I'll probably need to go to the doctor afterwards."
The Zumbathon will take place in East Calder Primary School from 12noon - 2pm on Saturday 18 February. Tickets cost £5, raffle strips can be had for £1, and there is also the option of sponsor sheets.
The restoration fund has set out to raise £15,000. "They have raised £9,000 so far," added the minister, "I was supposed to organise an event and I spoke to Lindsay Anderson, who came up with this idea.
"It's been a real community effort and we are very grateful to everyone who has helped raise money so far."
Anyone wanting to take part can pay at the door, although they should let organisers know in advance that they are coming on 07834 183 084 or 07816 835 926.
